silvia campagna

is lucy our ancestor?

Even if it was a fraud (which it isn't), it kinda wouldn't even matter because there are dozens of other great fossils that show the transition between arboreal primates with smaller brains to upright walking humans with enlarged brains. Ardipithecus for one, is a good example.

Could you post me some reliable scientific article or videos which prove the existence of transitional fossils and also that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago and not with men? Thank you

Hi Silvia. Sorry for delay in response.

As a point of note and reference, the Phylogeny Explorer Project and the Forum owners, for purposes of the Forums are non-denominational, non-political, with no agenda other than education and scientific truth and evidenced based findings. For scientific reasons, we do not get involved in pseudo-science or anything which lacks scientific rigor. There are alternative, unsanctioned categories here which people can be invited to or apply to join, which cover such topics, though.

That said, there is a considerable overlap here, so I will address that part.

For people and claims of those who do not understand or accept scientific evidence, Wikipedia is a good start, as are research sites, museums and biology based resources that have no conflicting affiliation or bias, and most of the standard science books, universities, programmes and articles will equally suffice. If anything seems strange or at odds or conflicts with mainstream science, do check the claims in peer reviewed articles to be clear. There’s nothing wrong with making bold statements or claims, no matter how conflicting or radical they may be. But not all things are equally weighted or worthy of consideration, and with science, it’s all about the evidence, and not thinly veiled claims of evidence.

With regard to the question of millions of years and dinosaurs (other than birds, which are dinosaurs) living with hominids, perhaps you can post it on another, more related Forum.

There are many, easily found sites which both focus on alternative views and others which counter them, but regarding human evolution, I would link you to these three sites. The first one lists discovered hominid fossils in some detail and the second gives an indication of the numbers of Neanderthals alone. This should help if anyone suggests that examples are unidentifiably incomplete, too few or diseased. The final image from the Natural History Museum in London, shows the hominid clade, visually.

If there are further questions on dating, how we know that skulls are not just ordered to suit a theory or the relationship between hominids and other apes or monkeys, please make a separate post.

I would also add, based on your post detail, that some people do have agendas or pre-conceived ideas and may not be genuinely seeking answers or willing to listen or change if evidence is presented, but their response will likely determine this:

Kind regards,
